I'll be leading a Green Mountain Club snowshoe up Bear Mountain (adjacent Saltash). You don't have to be a GMC member to join; anyone is welcome. Bring snowshoes, water and lunch. Dogs welcome. We'll be hiking up a snowmobile access trail at the end of Bailey Road to VAST 7N then bushwhacking to the top of Bear, which is forested. Not many views, but the top is a popular dormitory for local moose, plus the scenery is beautiful. Rated moderate to difficult, it will be 6 miles round trip. We'll be meeting at 9am at Shrewsbury Town offices and carpooling from there.
