HOOP SHOOT! Open to all youth 8 to U14. Registration starts at 11:30, shoot at 12:30. Three age divisions for boys and girls, top shooter in each represents our Lodge at the Mid-State Competition in Windsor. Those winners advance to the State Competition, hosted by Barre Lodge. Winners from Vermont compete at the Region 1 contest for a chance to compete at the Nationals in Chicago. Regional winners and their families are the guests of Elks National Foundation (all expenses paid). National Winners have their names inscribed on the Elks National Hoop Shoot Trophy at the Basketball Hall of Fame. It all starts locally and with practice and perseverance!
Contestants must be at least 8 and no older than 13 as of April 1, 2019, in order to participate.
Contestants will compete in one of six divisions:
Boys, ages 8-9
Girls, ages 8-9
Boys, ages 10-11
Girls, ages 10-11
Boys, ages 12-13
Girls, ages 12-13
