Eleva Chamber Players: “Big. Bold. Beautiful.” Sunday

Waterbury, Vt (October 17, 2018) Experience Vermont's most inspiring string orchestra. The Eleva Chamber Players, Central Vermont's only professional string chamber orchestra, will present "BIG. BOLD. BEAUTIFUL." The concert explores music mostly from the Baroque period written with multiple soloists. Featured soloists will be the amazing flutists Karen Kevra and Ceora Jaffe, along with Eleva's concertmaster John Lindsey who will be leading an exciting performance of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 4. The program will also include works by Vivaldi, Handel, Corelli and Elgar.

The concert takes place on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 3:00 pm at our new venue the Valley Players Theater (4254 Main Street, Waitsfield). The concert will include a pre-concert reception at 2:30 PM featuring hors d'oeuvres, Quayl's Chocolates, and wines by North Branch Vineyards. Admission is $20, $10 for Seniors, Students and members of the Vermont Philharmonic or Montpelier Chamber Orchestra. Students of the Green Mountain Youth Symphony are admitted free. The Eleva Chamber Players was established in April of 2006 in Waterbury, Vermont with the mission of elevating the human spirit through music. Eleva's concerts feature fine musicianship and fascinating dialogue that is both educational and inspiring. The conductor-less orchestra is composed of professional musicians with distinguished international careers from throughout Vermont and the Northeastern United States. In addition to its annual November concerts, Eleva has conducted concert tours of Vermont wineries and various house concerts around the country.
