Herbal Alchemy & the Upgraded Kitchen

Past event
Dec 16, 2018, 5:30 to 8 PM

Join Burlington Permaculture with Elliot Cluba of Herbs and Arrows (www.herbsandarrows.com) for a hands-on kitchen class, where we'll learn how to incorporate many valuable cultivated and wild ingredients into everyday foods and beverages, while discussing foundational disease biology and a healthy organ system.

Many of the most common wild herbs and garden vegetables offer very potent and underrated protection in a world saturated with toxic heavy metals, radiation, viruses, and other chronic stressors. With a few of Elliot's simple recipes, techniques, and guidelines, any kitchen can be upgraded into an integrated system for family health, enjoyment, and tradition.

Expect to be hands-on with kitchen tools and an assortment of wild foods, and for some tasty sampling of the recipes (such as wild greens pesto, wild seed cakes, medicinal mushroom bone broths, herbal chili, and a variety of teas and elixirs). You'll leave with a full-belly, plenty of inspiration and recipes, and maybe even some leftovers!
