Join us on at 7pm on Friday, November 16th at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier for Songs & Tales: Patti Casey & Pete Sutherland, a concert and fundraiser for the Center for Arts and Learning in Montpelier. The evening will feature musical performances and storytelling by Patti Casey and Pete Sutherland. Vermont singer-songwriter Patti Casey has won awards nationwide and toured with the Woods Tea Company and as a founding member of the Bluegrass Gospel Project. Pete Sutherland is known for his intense fiddle playing, and has played and toured with bands including Pete's Posse, The Clayfoot Strutters, Metamora, Rhythm in Shoes, the Woodshed Allstars and Ira Bernstein's Ten Toe Percussion. Together, they will bring audiences an evening of quintessential traditional and contemporary American folk music, interspersed with exciting stories for all ages.

The Center for Arts and Learning, at 46 Barre St. in Montpelier, is dedicated to building community through the intersection of education and the arts. Our member organizations include Monteverdi Music School, the T.W. Wood Gallery, River Rock School, and a number of small nonprofits as well as independent artists and writers. Together, we're working to build a hub for the arts in Montpelier. All proceeds from Songs & Tales will support our 2019 programming, including exhibitions, performances, and other events.
