Thursday, February 27 at 3:30 pm. Kevin Thornton, historian, will talk about Andrew Harris, University of Vermont class of 1838, the university's first black college . Harris arrived in Burlington from Cayuga, New York in November 1835, determined to get an education after being denied admission to Middlebury College and Union College because of his race. Harris became one of the nation’s leading black intellectuals before he had been out of UVM a year.

Gene is here on Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, 11-2 p.m. He can show you how to clean up your laptop of malware and messy registries, install useful programs, spot a “phishing” website, navigate your programs, and download digital and audio books and more.
