Learn About Vermont's Historic Sites Program

Past event
Nov 3, 2018, 10:30 AM to 12 PM

You are invited to a talk about the Vermont State Historic Sites Program by Tracy Martin from the State of Vermont's Vermont Division for Historic Preservation (VDHP). This is a unique opportunity to hear about the State-Owned Historic Sites connected to the library pass initiative. In addition, Ms. Martin will also share her insights about President Chester Arthur, whom author Scott Greenberger also featured in his recent book: "The Unexpected President: The Life and Times of Chester A. Arthur." This past summer, Greenberger spoke at two Vermont Humanities Council-funded events.

Event details:
• Saturday November 3rd at 10.30am at the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library, 21 Library Lane, Williston. The library opens at 10am.
• Ms. Martin's presentation in the community room will follow a short annual meeting of the Williston Historical Society.
• Following the free program will be light refreshments and an opportunity for conversation.

Whether you are interested in the Vermont State Historic Sites Program for the library pass, or merely curious about President Chester Arthur, we would love for you to come join us.
