Join us to kick off National Novel Writing Month's 20th year with snacks and coffee provided by the library!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a yearly event where writers of all levels are challenged with writing 50,000 words of a novel in the month of November. That's 1,667 words (or about 7 pages) a day, for 30 days!

Last year, NaNoWriMo had over 390,000 participants, spread across 6 continents. Of these, more than 58,000 participants met their word count goal. NaNoWriMo isn't just about winning, though, it's also about finding time to write, developing good creative habits, and finally bringing that story you can't stop thinking about into the world.

So whether you just drop in for a quick 10-minute word sprint, or stick around for some serious hours of writing, you can find support, advice, and inspiration with other local writers who are also taking on this challenge. We hope to see you there!
