ANNUAL TURKEY DRIVE to Benefit Waterbury Area Food Shelf - November 10th
Tony and Kia May have retired but the wonderful event they started and nurtured for 10 years lives on! Waterbury Rotary will sponsor this year's Turkey Drive (and hopefully many more) for the benefit of the Waterbury Area Food Shelf. It is the kick off event for our holiday meal distributions.
Last year we provided 130 Thanksgiving turkeys and meal fixings, and 140 Christmas hams and totes filled with breakfast and dinner meals. We expect the need to be at least that great this year. Monetary donations are also extremely important as most of the items for these two distributions must be purchased.
So bring those turkeys to the Food Shelf at 57 South Main on Saturday, November 10th, 10am - 1pm!
