You Can Make a Difference in the Life of a Local Child

Lily loves to read. Her guardian ad litem volunteer helped her get her own library card and now she has an unlimited supply of books. Lily is a bright, sweet, 9-year-old girl who loves kittens and "The Little Mermaid."

Like so many children across our State, Lily's parents are struggling with addiction and can't take care of her, so she is living in foster care.

But Lily's GAL advocate is fighting for her best interests while her parents get the help they need so she can safely return home. A GAL volunteer takes the time to get to know the child. To know the family. To learn what's possible and what the child needs to heal.

We are in critical need of more G.A.L Volunteers!

Come learn more about being an advocate in Franklin County at the St. Albans Free Library on Tuesday, October 30th at noon! Or contact Kristi Theise, Regional Coordinator, at (802) 527-4029 or Kristi.Theise@vermont.gov.
