We had a great discussion last Thursday on the book "The Smartest Kids in the World" by Amanda Ripley. A second grouping will be meeting on Monday, March 10 - and the group is big enough that we will likely split into two smaller discussion groups - and then likely all come back together for a large group report-out. Please plan to show up at Bridgeside books at 6:30 pm, and e-mail me at maureenmccracken1@comcast.net so I can plan for the group size and keep you informed of the follow up meeting!

The idea is to talk about what we see in the countries around the world who have "the smartest kids," determine what resonates with us in our country and our culture, and maybe even discuss specific ideas and initiatives that we can implement here in our own community.

THANK YOU to educational leaders who are participating (so far we have ALL three school represented!), and also to Bridgeside Books and the Waterbury Public Library, who have facilitated getting books and finding space to hold these energizing discussions!
