Guy Fawkes' Day

Past event
Nov 5, 2018, 7 to 8 PM

As most of you know, November 5 is known around the world as "Guy Fawkes Day", in "honor" of the 17th century British rebel who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament with fireworks . (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes_Night#Guy_Fawkes_Day for more information.) Subsequently, children and adults alike have observed the occasion by setting off fireworks of their own, hanging "Guys" in effigy, holding bonfires, you name it.

I'd like to make a special request -- *this* year, can we *please* avoid blowing up the town offices? I grant you that it's festive and all, but it disturbs the cows and sheep.
