Years ago, I began crocheting handbags from yarn I found in thrift stores and yard sales. Because the yarn was often in small amounts I used many different colors in my craft. I learned to line them with fabric I also found second hand. I did the Winooski Craft Show for many years, always in the same location. I branched out from handbags to hats, backpacks, cowls, and yoga mat carriers. Each piece is unique and there is no other like it. I love crocheting in the evening and consequently have amassed quite a bit of product. Last year was the first year I did not go to craft shows for personal reasons. I did give away a bag of hats to the Winooski Mitten Tree. The year before it was through WCAX. The year before I gave all of the hats I had left at the Winooski Craft Show to the school nurse's office. While I do appreciate getting monetary reimbursement for my creative efforts, I also enjoy spreading the joy. I am posting this to let you know where you can find me selling my Oddkin Handcrafts. The first mini show is Friday Oct. 26 from 6-9 at the Holiday Inn. Its a vendor/crafter show titled "Ladies and Gents Nite Out". There will be a cash bar, free appetizers, door prizes and a raffle. On November 4, I will be at the Eagles Club from 12:30 to 5. Its a Women's Small Business Exposition. December 1 finds me at Essex High School where they are running a fundraiser for cancer. The show is 10-3. The last show I'm in is a fundraiser for Vermont Pug Rescue held at Rice High School beginning at 9 on December 8. And if you need product to raffle ( I donated to Dollars for Scholars) please let me know.
