Capital City Concerts presents J.S. Bach's MAGNIFICAT on Saturday, November 3, 7:30PM at the Saint Augustine Church in Montpelier, and on Sunday, November 4, 3:00 PM at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, Burlington.
This all-J.S. Bach concert is a historic event for Capital City Concerts. It features a five-part choir, orchestra conducted by Richard Riley, and world-renowned vocal soloists including mezzo-soprano Julie Boulianne. Boulianne sings frequently at the Metropolitan Opera, and has appeared internationally as part of the Met Live in HD cinema cast series.
Other works on the program include the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F major, BWV 1047, featuring Sycil Mathai-trumpet, Lucy Chapman-violin, Randall Wolfgang-oboe, and Karen Kevra-flute.
