Friends John Reuwer and Laurie Gagne (Peace Studies faculty at St. Mikes College ) spent the month of July in the West Bank with Meta Peace Teams (MPT) seeking "a just world grounded in nonviolence and respect for the sacred interconnectedness of all life."
AT THE FLETCHER FREE LIBRARY, Laurie and John will report on: the current living conditions for Palestinians, Interactions with Israeli soldiers, prospects for improvements in the social and political situation of local Palestinians, and the possibility of MPT and similar organizations providing a nonviolent model for reducing militarism.
