Greetings Neighbors.
This message reflects the odd but interesting, different but alike aspects of my existence. Many of you are aware that I'm the News Editor of The Charlotte News. I'm also a UCC pastor and will be the guest speaker at this Sunday's evening gathering at All Souls Interfaith space in Shelburne.
I invite all of you to join us for an hour of contemplation, poetry, music, peace. If you've never seen the round chapel with the view of the lake at ASIG, now's the time. It's extraordinary, and all are welcome, all the time. You do not need to possess any vision or version of faith or lack of faith. If you are breathing you are welcome. And, of course, even if you're not, as the name reflects!
This Sunday, October 21, the Music and Spirit service is entitled, 'Campfires and Community'. It will be facilitated by All Souls Interfaith minister Kim Marie Glynn and I will be giving the homily. Music for the evening will be provided by Richard Ruane and Beth Duquette:
Richard Ruane is an award-winning singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that has been involved in the Vermont music scene for decades. His compositions have received national recognition that have earned him radio airplay around the globe. He is also involved with presenting music at Middlebury Festival on the Green and The Ripton Community Coffee House.
Beth Duquette has always had a strong passion for music and is also actively involved in presenting concerts in the Champlain Valley. You can usually find her traveling to festivals and other musical events looking for new discoveries to bring back home. She and Richard have been performing together for many years and released thier first duo recording "Notch Road" in June.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
