Hello everyone,
This week's Osher presentation will be a talk by writer and educator John Turner on the topic of: History in the Face of Nationalism: Can Patriotic Glory Coexist with Intellectual Integrity? John will discuss patriotic sentiments and popular conceptions of past events and how they can affect political decision making. If this sounds a bit ''lofty,'' just keep in mind that our group is friendly and questions are always welcome during and after the discussion.
