It's the Vermont Philharmonic's annual Opera Gala this Sunday at the Barre Opera House at 2 pm, featuring three talented singers, winners of the 2018 Bel Canto Institute Performance awards, performing arias in the Bel Canto style by Donizetti, Verdi, Bellini, Donaudi, and Tosti.. The Orchestra, under conductor Lou Kosma, performs the Overture to Wagner's Rienzi and the Intermezzo from Leoncavallo's Pagliacci. The Vermont Philharmonic begins its 60th Season with the Opera Gala program on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 7 PM at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe.
