The Vermont Philharmonic with Conductor Lou Kosma begins its 60th Season with its Annual Opera Gala on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 7 PM at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe and on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 2 PM at the Barre Opera House. The music includes "Overture to Rienzi" by Wagner and "Intermezzo from Paliacci" by Leoncavallo plus operatic selections featuring 2018 Bell Canto Institute Performance Winners – Sofie Lund-Tonnesen (soprano), Johanna Nylund (soprano) and Danielle Alexis Smith (mezzo-soprano).
