Lake Champlain Waldorf School, High School Campus, 122 Bostwick Road, Shelburne, VT
For students in 5th to 12th grades
Free to attend.
Join us for a fun and informative Sunday with your family. More than an open house, our teachers will be offering demos and mini lessons to give students and parents a deeper understanding of how Waldorf curriculum provides a holistic, and highly relevant experience that prepares students for the world beyond the classroom. Our high school teachers will be offering lesson demos and activities—great opportunities to experience how our students learn! Humanities teacher, Steve Crimy is teaching an Ancient Cultures lesson on logic, showcasing how our curriculum develops critical thinking. Math teacher, Garrett Kimberly will be talking about our math curriculum from 9th to 12th grades. Art teacher, Emily Liard will lead us in a community drawing project and textiles teacher, Melendy Comey will lead a weaving demo and you'll get to try out what our tenth graders experience in her class. In addition, our Outing Club will host an Adventure Race and s'mores making, students will host a pumpkin carving activity, and our Cooking Club will be offering a tasty treat.
