Celebrating its 15th concert season, the Champlain Philharmonic, under the direction of Matthew LaRocca, will present its Annual Fall Concert Series on Saturday, October 20th at 7:30pm at Ackley Hall at Green Mountain College in Poultney and Sunday, October 21st at 4pm at the Mahaney Center for the Arts at Middlebury College.
The program will feature Vermont flutist, Karen Kevra who will be playing Doppler's Fantaisie Pastorale Hongroise, Op. 26 and Bizet's Fantasie Brilliant Sur Carmen. Also on the program will be Veils and Whirlwinds, by VT composer Peter Hamlin, and selections from Brahms' Hungarian Dances and Dvorak's Slavonic Dances.
