AAUW STATE REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE FORUM

Candidates running for State Representative in Pownal/Woodford and Bennington have been invited to participate in a Candidate Forum sponsored by the Bennington Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
The forum will be held on Tuesday, October 23, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bennington Firehouse, 3rd floor, 130 River Street, Bennington. The nine candidates invited to attend are:
Bennington 1, Pownal-Woodford (1 seat)

Bennington 2-1 (2 seats)
Chris Bates (D)
Timothy R. Corcoran II (D) (incumbent)

Mary A. Morrissey (R) (incumbent)
Candidates will each be given two minutes to introduce themselves and one and a half minutes for closing statements. The order will be decided by candidates drawing numbers prior to the event and the order will be reversed for closing remarks.
Questions, drafted by a panel of AAUW members and CCV-Bennington Community of Students, will be asked of all candidates and each will be given one and a half minutes to respond. Following this the forum will be open to questions from the audience.
Refreshments will be available at the close of the forum, when members of the audience will have an opportunity to converse informally with their future State Representative.
