Borderline Entertainment is proud to welcome two incredible musicians to Derby Line to perform in the Sanctuary of the Derby Line United Universalist Parrish on Wednesday the 17th.

Olive Tiger
Commanding attention in New England and beyond, innovative chamber-pop artist Olive Tiger uses cello, guitar, and vocals to channel the off-kilter bliss of Andrew Bird, tUnE-yArDs and St. Vincent, creating lush arrangements with staying power. Founded in 2013, Olive's vision quickly blossomed from grounded folk-rock roots into lush chamber rock landscapes, incorporating experiments with electrified cello and looped vocals.

Olive Tiger has garnered growing attention for its work; in 2018 The Connecticut Office of the Arts honored Olive Tiger with an Artist Excellence Fellowship Award. Olive Tiger has shared the stage with Kishi Bashi, Kyp Malone (of TV On The Radio), Holly Miranda, and Mirah, in addition to performing at New Haven's International Festival of Arts and Ideas. As a full band, Olive Tiger released its debut full-length record, Until My Body Breaks, in fall 2016 by the Telegraph Recording Company, which The Deli Magazine touted as an "impressive debut".

Treya Lam:
Treya Lam is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and self taught vocalist and songwriter whose cinematic songs and ethereal vocals are built on Nina Simone-inspired piano, meditative guitar and lush chamber arrangements.

Treya's debut album, Good News, was released via Kaki King's label, Short Stuff Records. Produced by Kaki (who plays multiple instruments throughout the album), the album was recorded with array an of talented female musicians, most notably Catherine Popper (Ryan Adams, Jack White, Norah Jones) on upright bass, and mixer Erin Tonkon (David Bowie, Esperanza Spalding). Mastered by Sarah Register, Good News is an instant classic, full of the kind of songwriting and raw talent that has never gone out of style, as well as a message of love and longing. Because as Treya says, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood."
