The Hirschfield International Film Series continues this Saturday, October 13th and we have more special guests! Please join the Film and Media Culture Department in Dana Auditorium at 3pm and/or 8pm for a screening of Lemonade followed by a conversation with writer and director Ioana Uricaru & actor Mãlina Manovici.
Ioana Uricaru is the Barksdale Jr. Assistant Professor of Film & Media Culture at Middlebury College, is a Middlebury resident, and is also an award winning filmmaker. Lemonade is her debut feature film so don't miss this opportunity to see it on the big screen! Manovici plays the lead role Mara in the film and also played Sandra in last year's Hirschfield film Graduation. Ioana has been traveling internationally and nationally with the film including the premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and a US premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. We are lucky to be able to program this film and to have both Ioana and Mãlina here with us because this week is the Canadian premier and the Romanian premiere is in two weeks!
