Alan Robertson will present a slide show and discuss his time stationed in Germany, and a recent trip back there with the American Forest Foundation. They looked at a variety of forest management styles and methods. After centuries of management, the science and philosophy are both still evolving and the desire for sustainable "forever forests" (dauerwald) and natural regeneration is increasing. Presented by Windham Regional Woodlands Association.
Program will be held at The Winston Prouty Center,130 Austine Drive, Brattleboro, on the fourth floor of Holton Hall, (the large brick building). It is located off Maple St. between Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and Living Memorial Park.
