Waterbury Historical Society Meeting will be on October 24, at 7pm. It will be held in the Steele Community Room, Waterbury Municipal Center. Jason Smiley will present the program about the Eddy brothers; spirit mediums. During the mid to late 1800's the Eddy family became world-renowned as spirit mediums with the alleged ability to generating full-bodied spirit materializations of the departed. People traveled from the world over to witness these phenomena. By 1874, the family was so well-known that Chittenden started being referred to as "Spirit Vale"

The meeting is open to the public. It is handicapped accessible. Refreshments will be served.
