Dance Lab happens again this Wednesday Commons @ BALE, South Royalton! We had a really fun time last Wed. Contradances, Square Dances, English Country Dances...these are all culturally traditional social dances expressed through inter-connected patterns as groups (sets) of dancers move with rhythmically driven music. We'll explore the musicality of our own expressions and responses to the music, and explore its relevance in our lives today. "Dance Lab" is intended as a fun, health-promoting, participatory practice and coaching opportunity to improve your social dance basic skills. As a result, improvements in balance, coordination, focus, mental clarity and feelings of positivity and confidence improve. We will "walk through" and dance to choreographed dances from the Contra and Square traditions, create our own choreography, and dance free-style.
Please come join us! "Dance Lab" is offered for three more weeks, from 4-6 PM at the Commons @ BALE, South Royalton. It's free! No partner or experience needed. Drop in - come as you are. RSVP appreciated, but not required. All ages and abilities are welcome.
If you would like to bring a Community Dance activity (as a class, training or an event) to your group or organization, please contact me. Hosted by New Acadia Music and Dance.
