Many people have been asking when there will be a debate between the candidates for State Representative for Tinmouth, Middletown Springs, Pawlet, Rupert, and Wells. The short answer is, it is not likely. My opponent has twice declined to participate in such a debate.

A debate provides a unique opportunity for voters to engage the candidates side by side, see them under pressure, and hear directly from them what their positions and goals might be. No rumors or second guessing. This is how informed voters make informed choices, and the lack of a debate does a disservice to the voters.

In that light, there will be a Town Hall Forum with Representative Chesnut-Tangerman, with an open invitation to my opponent, on Monday, October 15th, 7:00PM at the Pawlet Firehouse.
