Artwork that celebrates the animals around us. Gallery open daily from 1-5pm during February and March. A special display of hand-tied fishing flies by Ron Lewis is on view. Dog lovers will love portrait prints by Wayne Michaud and Brenda Myrick and Cindy Kilgore's scarves woven with soft dog fur. Kilgore's photographs of endangered Right Whales remind us that without our help, even the largest of species can vanish. Kids will enjoy searching for a whimsical purple dinosaur by Marsha Chase; cows, turtles, dragonflies and birds in collages by Deanna Shapiro; dragonflies and butterflies in copper sculptures by John Arthur, and Celia Oliver's colorful wool chickens. Wildlife artist Libby Davidson has gift tags with tiny field mice, fish, and birds, and a watercolor of Scottish Highlander cattle. Janet Seaburg's woodcuts add ducks, pelicans, and crabs; Kathy Mitchell has created animals in ivory and sterling jewelry, as well as paintings of chickens and crows.
