"CARBON NATION", a documentary movie about climate change SOLUTIONS, will be shown at the Craftsbury Public Library at 7 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 17. For those who doubt the severity of the impact of climate change or just don't buy it at all, this is a compelling and relevant film that illustrates how SOLUTIONS to climate change also address other social, economic and national security issues. You'll meet a host of entertaining and endearing characters along the way.

The film is an optimistic, solutions-based, non-preachy, non-partisan film that shows tackling climate change boosts the economy, increases national & energy security and promotes health & a clean environment. The film is an entertaining, informed and pragmatic primer about why it's incredibly smart to be a part of the new, low-carbon economy: it's good business. While other good films have been about problems, blame and guilt, carbon nation is a film that celebrates solutions, inspiration and action.

The movie's director and producer is Peter Byck with over 20 years experience as a director and editor. His first documentary "Garbage" won the South by Southwest Film Festival. People focused in the film include Cliff Rtheredge, wind farmer & west texas cotton farmer, Dan Nolan, former army colonel, Alaskan Bernie Karl, geothermal pioneer, Van Jones, civil rights advocate turned green jobs organizer, Amory Lovins, Chairman and Chief Scientist of the Rocky Mountain Institute, and several others. The film gives answers to our pressing problems.
