Dogs, cats, frogs and bats are invited to a Blessing of the Animals on the lawn of St. James' Episcopal Church on Rt. 7A in Arlington at noon on Sunday, Oct. 7th, in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi. Fr. John Miller will conduct a short interactive service honoring the many roles that animals play in our lives, and including prayers for kindness and respect for all our fellow creatures. Everyone is welcome, as are their animal companions, whether furred, feathered, scaled or finned (all under control, please).
