Abolitionism: When the Church and Republicans Were Radical led by Vermont historian Elise Guyette. Recommended readings may be emailed to you (in pdf forms) upon request by contacting pastorthomas@goodshepherdjericho.org.

The abolition of slavery in America assumed many forms and attempts and was influenced by events on both sides of the Atlantic. It was a cause that had moral, political and economic consequences which divided not only our nation, but religious affiliations that are felt even to the present day.

The forum will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 273 Vt Rt 15 in Jericho, Vermont on October 23, 2018 at 6:30 PM.

Each forum is a potluck gathering where we invite you to share a dish along with your thoughts.
