How could you improve your neighborhood park? As the Burlington Parks and Rec Dept. begins the planning for possible changes to the Calahan Park, AARP VT invites you to help evaluate park usage through a free workshop at Calahan Park in Burlington on Tuesday, October 9 from 1PM to 4PM. In this hands-on experience you will be joined by staff from AARP Vermont, the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department and the Trust for Public Land.
We'll be using a proven evaluation tool and guide to see who is using the park, what facilities and amenities are there and how that compares to the resident population surrounding the park. There will be opportunities for residents to make assessments at different times and days, to see who is using the park. The findings will help inform possible changes and improvements.
Please join us for this fun, interactive park survey on October 9th - we will gather at the AARP State Office to receive an overview and brief presentation before setting out for Calahan Park.
