On Wednesday, October 3rd, Linda Bryant will be at the Lamoille Valley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the Commodores Inn in Stowe, Vermont to give a lecture entitled "Bridging The Digital Divide." She is a tutor of a unique sort. She helps senior citizens understand how important and how wonderful technology can be. Linda demonstrates how technology will allow the elder generation to use technology to be closer to the younger generations.
Linda Bryant is the former owner of Senior Circuit, LLC. The business was designed to give seniors a chance to learn computers and technology. The goal was not just to teach seniors but to inspire them to be more interested in technology, and realize the importance of it. She no longer works through the company, but still takes students on an as needed basis.
Do you approach a computer with trepidation? Does the use of a computer bring out the best four letter words you have ever used? Does Twitter, Snap Chat, IM, conjure a foreign language? Linda Bryant will address these themes and others in the attempt to unveil the mystery behind computers for the pre internet generations.
OLLI programs take place at the Commodores Inn, 823 South Main Street, Route 100, Stowe, Vermont. Doors open at 1:00 pm and the lecture will begin at 1:30 pm sharp. Allow time for the road construction. This lecture, sponsored by the Stowe Free Library, is free of charge. Refreshments follow the presentation.
