A Celebration of Dr. Lewis “Lew” Blowers
5:30pm Thursday, October 11
Edward Wing Memorial Garden*
at Copley Hospital

Copley Hospital’s Medical Staff invites you to share your memories and celebrate the life of Dr. Lew Blowers in an informal gathering officiated by Chaplain Alden Launer.

Dr. Blowers came to Copley in 1965 and spent the next 35 years caring for our community. He was widely respected by both clinicians and community members. He is best remembered by staff and colleagues for his nurturing and mentoring and for building a solid foundation for the Copley generations to come. In addition to developing the medical services that we presently have at Copley Hospital, Dr. Blowers was recruiting physicians before hospitals were doing it. In honor of his work at Copley and for our community, the Copley Medical Staff dedicated a statue to the Blowers family, a statue that today continues to greet patients and visitors to the campus.

Please R.S.V.P. to Amanda at 888-8313 by Oct. 9

*In the event of inclement weather, we will gather in the seating area of Copley’s Café.
The Edward Wing Memorial Garden is located in the Courtyard tucked in behind the hospital and accessed from the Health Center Building parking lot or, when inside the hospital, by the public elevator.
