Public Owl Banding Demos
7 – 9 pm on October 10, 11, 12, 16, and 20
Join our biologists as they capture, tag, and release pint-sized Northern Saw-whet Owls. NBNC is part of a national network of scientists working to better understand the migration of this common yet elusive member of our Vermont forests. We will chat about research highlights from NBNC and across the country, and share what's been discovered about this mysterious little predator. RSVP IS REQUIRED. Free and open to all ages. Donations to NBNC make our research program possible.
Demonstration will be cancelled in the event of rain or very high winds- see our homepage for updates.
