Hello Neighbors,

I invite you to come hear a big chorus celebrate some big birthdays. For its fall concert, titled Birthday Odes, the Burlington Choral Society honors Leonard Bernstein's 100th birthday with a performance of his glorious Chichester Psalms. Handel's Birthday Ode for Queen Anne, Eternal Source of Light Divine -- as heard at the recent royal wedding -- and Purcell's Birthday Ode for Queen Mary, Come, Ye Sons of Art, complete the festive evening.

Richard Riley, artistic director, will lead the chorus, with guest artists Mary Bonhag, soprano;
Eric Jurenas, countertenor; Andrew Padgett, bass; Jenny Bower, organ; and the Burlington Birthday Orchestra.

The concert is Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m. at College Street Congregational Church, 265 College St., Burlington, VT.

Tickets are on sale at the Flynn Box Office, www.flynntix.org and (802) 86-FLYNN. Prices are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. We always advise getting your tickets early, as concerts do sell out.
