Saint Francis Xavier Parish is having a party and you're invited!
On Sunday, October 14, Saint Francis Xavier Parish will be celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the founding of our parish. In 1868 Fr. Jean F. Audet held the first official Mass for his new Winooski parish in rented rooms. Over the next two years Fr. Audet and his faithful parishioners built St. Louis Convent and School and then erected our beautiful church.
We are about to embark upon a celebration of those important events in our parish history and we're starting with a special Mass at 11:00 on October 14, followed by a community festival. There will be a barbecue, games, and family friendly activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and a dunking booth.
There will also be music by the SFX School choir, our African choir, French-Canadian folk musicians, Irish minstrels and the SFX Parish choir.
