Lightweight Theater Presents: "This War is Not Inevitable"

100 years ago, the Austrian social reformer Rudolf Steiner described his vision of the Threefold Social Order in an attempt to rescue Germany from a devastating World War. By limiting the power of the state, Steiner showed how war could become impossible. In this play, with humor and warmth, two actors take on a dozen different characters to depict how the people of the time received this idea. By portraying the historical events of 1917-1919, they give us deep and poignant insights into what is happening in our present time. Did what Steiner attempt in those years plant a seed that has waited a hundred years to mature in our own age?
