Top the Truck Food Drive!

Past event
Sep 26, 2018, 7 AM to 7 PM

September is Hunger Action Month, and the Putney Foodshelf is holding its annual Top the Truck food drive on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine. Same location this year: the Tavern parking lot between The Gleanery restaurant and Putney Town Hall.

We've made it easy to participate. Curbside attendants will take your donations of healthy, non-perishable foods, including cans of soup, chili, tuna fish, meat, fruits, and vegetables, pasta and pasta sauce, cereals, peanut butter, boxed meals, such as macaroni and cheese or hamburger helper, and rice. Cash, check, and credit card donations also welcomed.

New this year: the Putney Co-op is partnering with the Putney Foodshelf by offering special prices on cases of selected foods the week of Sept. 22-26. Fill out an order form, pay at the register, and the Co-op will deliver.

The Putney Foodshelf, a non-profit organization, relies on volunteers and donations, to provide supplemental healthy food for area families in need. Thank you.
