As many of you know, climate change is happening and is the most serious issue facing future generations. The change is happening a lot faster than scientists projected. In Marshfield and Plainfield we have been identifying and promoting projects to do our part to reduce the causes of Climate Change. We are targeting solar, weatherization and electric buses at Twinfield and a more effective weatherization program for residents among a long list of other projects. Transfer of the latest information to help residents understand the issue is an important effort. Jaquith Library and the Energy and Climate Change Committee have taken the lead on this transfer of information. They have arranged and promoted the viewing and discussion below.

Disastrous hurricanes. Widespread droughts and wildfires. Withering heat. Extreme rainfall. It is hard not to conclude that something's up with the weather - and most scientists agree. This new NOVA documentary film explains why they agree that our climate is changing, how climate change will impact our daily lives and how we can be resilient in the face of enormous changes. Join us for an evening of viewing and discussion with meteorologist Roger Hill.. Roger has a long term interest in and excellent understanding of climate change.
Please take the time to learn more about climate change and its impacts. Hopefully this information will help inspire you to continue to identify opportunities to reduce your fossil fuel use and to act on those opportunities.
