Band bios . . . .
Kat Wright & the Indomitable Soul Band create music that has something in common with their name. Size.

Their sound is so big and emotionally charged that it floods the room and practically overflows out the venue doors, leaving in its wake an audience that’s bobbing and dancing to the groove.

The secret behind this big, soulful sound? It starts with Kat Wright’s vocals. Powerful, gritty and capable of expressing subtle, delicate emotions–

Kat was born to sing blues and soul music. And behind her, or rather completely surrounding her, some of the most talented musicians in northern New England; with a lineup that features bass, drums, percussion, guitar, organ, trumpet, trombone and alto sax

About The Limes

After an eight year hiatus, the legendary Vermont student band, The Limes, are back. With an all-new cast of all-star high school musicians, the 21-piece original alt-pop funk orchestra has once again redefined the concept of school band. Infused with minimalist mallet percussion, jazz-inspired horn lines and post-rock guitar orchestrations, The Limes boast a six-person front line of singers including 14 year-old Henry Burke of Fenway Park fame.
Twice as big as last time, The Limes bring a whole new sound and personality to the music. Drawing from alternative music, post-rock, jazz and funk, the new Limes sound capitalizes on their diverse orchestration with a few nods to The Polyphonic Spree and Sigur Rós.
Under the direction of Vermont musician, composer and award winning educator Brian Boyes, The Limes set a new standard for arts-infused project based learning.
“Providing real world learning opportunities for my students is a critical aspect of my high school curriculum,” says Cabot music teacher Brian Boyes. “Placing the students in real-world situations in which they are required to think creatively and problem solve can be extremely empowering. It provides them with a sense of ownership for their work as well as the opportunity to step out of the school classroom and into the professional world.”
