As part of the launch of the new BFA in Socially Engaged Art at Goddard College, Goddard is hosting a panel of artist activists Tuesday September 25 at 7pm at the Haybarn Theater.
Dr. H. 'Heru Khuti' Sharif Williams is a filmmaker, playwright, author, and scholar in sexuality studies and Black aesthetics. Syrus Marcus Ware is an incredible visual artist, core-team member of BLM Toronto, and organizer around the intersections of race, trans identity, and disability. Clare Dolan is a puppeteer, performer, and curator, who has worked with Bread & Puppet, and started the Banners and Cranks festival and the Museum of Everyday Life. We're going to be talking about art, movement building, ethics, joy, and resistance.
