The Clemmons Family Farm is one of only a handful of African-American owned farms in Vermont and one of the largest at 148 acres. It is now an African American Heritage and Multicultural Center open to all.

The Barn House is actually two historic buildings built in the late 1700s-early 1800s joined by Jackson Clemmons 20+ years ago when he was in his 70s. The Barn House itself is a work of art, and it houses Lydia Clemmons' extensive and colorful collection of African Art, posters from the National Museum for African American History and Culture, the photographs and recorded stories of Clemmons family members extending back to the 19th century, their "For Love of Old Barns" exhibit, and the work of several Vermont artists.
