Gymnastics for Pre Schooler's in the morning and After School starting in March!!!

Join this fun class for skill building and socializing! Using scaled-down equipment, kids can swing on the bars, walk the balance beam, jump on the springboard!! We will enjoy learning all types of movement such as rolls, beginning cartwheels, jumps and balancing - while also developing the spatial and locomotor skills that are essential to this age group. Since there is a range of ages in both classes, we will work with each child on appropriate skills we can help them achieve. No two kids learn alike, and each will be encouraged to try new things. We'll use various props like colorful scarves, rings and hand puppets. We'll even learn some dance! Kids will also learn basic gymnastic positions, and climb the walls like Spiderman! Class will be taught in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere. Don't worry that your child doesn't follow directions yet - that's why we're here!! With a caregivers help, we will practice important social skills such as lining up and taking turns in a fun manner.
Instructor Bio: Ila Sewall of GymKids Academy, Inc. Ila holds a number of professional certifications including: Kinder Accreditation for Teachers (KAT) ; USAG Safety Certification; Level 1-4 Skill Evaluator Certification; and has judged competitive gymnastics. She has coached competitive and taught compulsory and tiny tots for over 20 years.
