A Johnson Historical Society Presentation
Preserving History: The Vermont Studio Center Campus Master Plan by Gary Clark and Jim McDowell
Sunday, September 23rd, 2 to 3:15 PM at the Lowe Lecture Hall on Main Street, Johnson.
Following the talk homemade refreshments will be served at the Holcomb House.

The Vermont Studio Center is a creative community where artists and writers come to the Johnson campus for month-long residencies. They live and work in some of the town's former homes and buildings, which the VSC has updated. Each renovation has preserved a piece of Johnson's history. Join members of the Historical Society as Gary Clark and Jim McDowell tell the story of some Vermont Studio Center buildings, a return to the past as we look to the future.

The presentation will be at the Lowe Lecture Hall which was erected in 1832 by the Congregational Society and was deeded to the town in 1854 as a town hall. Many fondly remember school and community functions at what became known as the Opera House. Memories will be welcomed. Information at 635-7826.

The Holcomb House will be opened from 1 to 4 PM as usual on Sunday.
