The "Masculine" and "Feminine" can be defined, described, and experienced in myriad ways. This becomes tricky when history and culture weight these words with their own meanings. Sometimes, when contact with our own masculinity and femininity is lost or hidden, our boundaries- how we open up and turn inward- get misaligned. How can we practice observing and influencing our experiences of masculinity and femininity on physical, mental, and spiritual levels? How can we use this practice to understand our boundaries better? How can we do this by fostering compassion? In this workshop we'll combine didactic education, discussions, journaling, and experiential activities to explore tapping into our heart spaces for healthy boundaries within ourselves and among others.

About the Facilitators

John Powell, M.S., NCC, O.M., Reiki II
John is a mental health counselor with a private practice in Burlington where he works with a variety of people, including couples and families. He is an educator, public speaker, author, journalist, and healer who has worked with such topics as mindfulness, acceptance, family systems, environmentalism, music, and positive youth development. Annette Gingras, Reiki Master/Teacher
Annette is a Crystal Therapist, Reiki Master/teacher, Seer and Sacred Space Holder with roots in Native American Ceremony and ritual. As a Therapeutic Crystal Healer She has been attuning with crystals for over 12 years and teaching classes on working with crystals for the past four years. She facilitates spiritual groups, offers Crystal Consultations and does Therapeutic crystalwork for people, homes and businesses. She has worked at Spirit Dancer Books & Gifts, a local metaphysical book and gifts shop in downtown Burlington Vermont, for the past 8 years.
