The town Trails Group is having a Town Forest "Trail Day" for September 16 from 1pm to 3pm. This will be an informal and hopefully fun event with goal to get familiar with and improve the trail(s) in the town forest. Potential activities include:

1. Water bar improvements for lower reaches of the trail
2. An assessment and plan to improve the parking / kiosk area
3. Ensuring marking and doing some light clearing of the established trail
4. Marking of a new trail to "complete" the loop for the existing trail
5. Potential mapping exercise

Bring your enthusiasm, gloves and maybe a hand tool (shovel or bow saw is great).

Again this will be rather informal and exploratory with goals just to get everyone with interest together and familiar with the forest trail, each other, trail maintenance, etc.

Note one challenge will be parking. The trail head itself is down a narrow lane with limited parking. We will try to use the Town Garage area to park, with the caveat that we need to keep the entrance / exit clear for emergency use. If you can ride share to there it's helpful.
