Community Book Discussion

Join Lydia Taft Pratt Library at the Dummerston Community Center, 150 West Street, to discuss some of the themes of the Vermont Reads 2018 book selection "Bread and Roses, Too" by Katherine Paterson. This historical fiction addresses issues related to labor movements, immigration, and local history. Come to the library and pick up a copy to read in advance. The library is open Tuesdays 2:30-7, Thursdays 10-5, and Saturdays 9:30-12.The public is invited.

Come and share your story! The discussion will be led by Lydia Taft Pratt's librarian, Karen Cawrse. Nader Hashim is a guest contributor. The program is co-sponsored by the Lydia Taft Pratt Library, the Dummerston Community Center, and Senior Congregate Meals and books are available through a grant from the Vermont Humanities Council.
