Come Join the Hardwick American Legion Post #7 Family, American Legion & Auxiliary Department of Vermont to celebrate our youngest members of the Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion with a cook out, duck race, bouncy house and Commanders dunk tank.
Hardwick Post #7 will be cooking up hamburgers & hotdogs with delicious sides & chips for a small fee to be donated to our Junior members for their programs & service projects starting at noon.
The Duck Race will begin at 1:00PM at the Main St. bridge with ducks racing to the Wolcott St. Bridge. Prizes will be awarded of $1500 for the fastest duck, $500 for 2nd place, & $250 for 3rd.
The event is open to the public with a bounce house for the kids entertainment while parents can enjoy a cold beverage from our cash bar.
Join in on the fun to dunk one of our American Legion Commanders who have volunteered to take a dip in the tank to help raise funds for these youngsters. Then wait for it as the tables will turn and our Commanders will have a turn to get even and our Juniors will get wet.
The public is invited even if you are not a member so bring the family for this exciting event. Come support our youngest members who work hard to support our mission of service to Veterans, our Military, their families and the community. Come see why the youth of the American Legion & Auxiliary are the future of our organization.
If you have not purchased your duck for the race please contact the American Legion at 802-472-6143, or Corrinna Colson, Junior Activities Chair at 802-274-8333.
